    While on holiday in Zambia recently we shared the plunge pool with a number of bee-eaters who stopped by each afternoon for a drink. Composite with the help of PS. Sorry if I misled anyone.

    We were lucky enough to be right next to a colony of these beauties when out on a river looking for Hippos - it was a riot of colour even in the bad light !

    This is not a technically perfect shot (at all!), but I like the situation enough to show it anyway. The light was strange with grey sky but still quite a lot of light giving very high contrast in a shot like this one
