    There is a particular spot where this dragon hovers against the sky, making it much easier to snap. Comforting to find it in the same spot every year

    This was taken with a GH5 and a PL 100-400mm lens hand-held and manually focused. I used manual focus as the AF in whatever mode I used would focus on the background and not the Dragonfly, very frustrating and it meant I lost shots because of it.

    The Migrant Hawker gets its name from its habit of migrating long distances, often in huge swarms. I think it is absent from Scotland and Ireland.
