    A Least Tern on the beach either looking for a nest, a mate, or both.

    Large group of sea birds at their nesting beaches. Gulls stirred up these Black Skimmers and Terns and they flew by.

    Passed some Least Tern nesting colonies in Mississippi and had a couple parents irate at me for being in the same county as their beach. Of course I-90 was literally five feet from me so I dunno what they was so mad about!

    Mississippi Kite (Ictinia mississippiensis) Of all days for the sky to be gray! We have been seeing them for a month now but the ones arriving of late are our summer residents.

    Only one I have gotten to photograph this year. It is an immature one at that. It was at about 400 yards and high in a tree on a overcast day, shot hand held and heavy crop. I guess more of a documentary shot.

    You said you would like to get a Kite perched, finally got this one today at about 150 feet under cloudy skies. Not the best image but the best chance I have had so far.

    ....I think. This was about a 300 yard plus shot and cropped. It is my first Kite and getting a documentary shot. I saw this one a few days before but did not get a shot. Any other ideas?
