The Moon tonight. Seeing conditions were very good for a change. Best 40% of 50 frames stacked in registax..Wavelets adjusted and the final tweaking with editing software
Unsure if the Moon surface is classed as a landscape. But thought I,d share anyway. The major feature here is the Apennines mountain range that is 3.1 miles high at the peaks..For this image I used a EOS1100D prime focus through a Tal 100mm refractor. This made it in effect a 1000 f10...
This moonshot is captured in the morning of 14 december 2014.
It's not my only moonshot, since I own the Sony camera, the beginning of november 2014, I've captured many more moonshots, but this one shows an interesting detail.
Here the moon is in the third quarter, the terminator is halfway and...
I know that this is a stretch for "Landscapes" but I had to post this. This is called a super moon, because it is at its closest orbit to the earth. There are going to be three super moons in a very short period of time this year.
A total lunar eclipse known as a Blood Moon. Photographed from my yard around 3:00 am CST on April 15 2014. I was lucky to have a clear evening, or early morning as it was (lol). The first of four that will occur roughly in six month intervals. Bryan, Texas.USA.
Bill was keen to try out his new (well new to him) canon 300mm 2.8 plus 2x converter, purchased from a forum member.
I think, so far, he is very pleased with it.
I was just going to bed last night when I noticed it, a beautiful clear sky and a dazzling full moon, I wish I'd seen it when it was lower in the sky!

Just for a laugh, here's the Moon taken through the window just now. I used the teleconverter + extra optical zoom, which means this is equivalent to 1722mm. My neck doesn't get on with using a tripod, but I did for this focal length.
Anyway, something different |=)|
Lovely clear sky this evening and a beautiful moon,
taken with stacked 1.5 and 1.4 TCs and manual focus using live view

I thought about Wilma and her clouds last night and decided to go out to moonlight with my camera. I wasnt alone, this bear was enjoying the night too.. ;)
