The young moorhen felt safe in the tangled roots of the willows so the passing boat did not disturb her. The rising sun was lighting this usually dark environment. So I had the opportunity to take this photo.
If the birds from my last two posts considered it is good to run or hide this juvenile moorhen decided to take only a few steps away from the feeding place when I pased with the boat.
While passing with the boat near the floating reedbeds I saw a bird actively feeding between the stems quite near the water surface. She was not afraid of the comming boat. She stoped for a moment and looked at me. It was the moment I took the photo.
