I saw this Mourning Dove in my garden and was able to get pretty close to it to take the picture. Usually they fly away when I get to close, but this one stayed where it was, although giving me a suspicious glance out of the corner of his eye all the while! :)
This mourning Dove has it's pink feet on the barbwire and it's tail resting on the charge wire to the fence charger (not on). I get a lot of my pictures of birds which have landed on out fence wire.
One of the local doves that likes to tempt the cats. They let the cats get within 10ft before they take off .Brave or stupid I just hopei don`t find a pile of feathers in the yard anytime sone.
This perfect little creature was born and raised in a flower basket hanging in front of our entrance door. (We used the side door for one month)
This was the last evening before both of them fledged.
We used to call them " just an other Dove". Now we call them "our Dove".
