The second swan family are thriving so far -still six cygnets.

Bit of a sad day - the swan family I've been photographing for weeks is now reduced to one cygnet. I hope it survives.

These cygnets had been brought to the 'bread hurling area' by their parents. I think they've been living up a backwater - have only seen them once before.

Not having seen the cygnets I've been photographing, for 3 days, it looks as if the 3 is down to 2 sadly.

I found another swan family this morning on one of the lakes - another one where mother had to give a ride to a tired baby!

...have'nt taken any flying swan pictures worth keeping for some time. A few snatch shots today did'nt seem too bad.

The swan family I've been photographing had disappeared yesterday. Found them today on the other side of the lock gates and weir - not sure if they walked along the bank or 'shot the rapids'! Pleased to see they're alright though, and in a safer place. Fun watching this cygnet asleep on his mums...
