When taking my mother for a drive along the coast , I saw a few mute swans in a lagoon and I took this photo from the car with my bridge camera. I didn't even switch off the engine.
Really had to lighten this one, which now allows me to see that the two ducks (which were completely silhouetted initially) are Gadwall! At least, I think so, judging by the white wing flash.

early start today up and out same again in the morning but did spot the Mute swan family and at the start of 2016 they are still together but dad & mam were on the river as you can see from the insert but great to see them all there. I will catch up on comments later.
