When taking my mother for a drive along the coast , I saw a few mute swans in a lagoon and I took this photo from the car with my bridge camera. I didn't even switch off the engine.

Really had to lighten this one, which now allows me to see that the two ducks (which were completely silhouetted initially) are Gadwall! At least, I think so, judging by the white wing flash. Sports Mode settings f/6.4 1/850 sec ISO 100 Exp bias +0.7 Focal length 185 mm Max aperture 3 Metering...

early start today up and out same again in the morning but did spot the Mute swan family and at the start of 2016 they are still together but dad & mam were on the river as you can see from the insert but great to see them all there. I will catch up on comments later.
