I would like to say a big "thanks" to all of you with your words of comfort after the concern about my elderly Mother yesterday. I'm happy to say that it was not as bad as the paramedics first thought & after a blue light ride and a few hours in hospital undergoing...
We had a wander round the grounds of Oxburgh Hall and down to the little River Gadder which is a tributary of the River Wissey. Such a pretty spot that.
Even this swan thought so as he was obviously quite at home there.

At the end of our rainy afternoon, we arrived at what I thought was going to be a B&B, but it turned out to be the fanciest stop on our walk - a very ritzy golf course with a hotel in some refurbished historic buildings, dinner at the "19th hole" was quite nice and not as expensive...

LOL, What she was really doing was teaching them...
.... however some of my flight shot attempts that day came out not so badly.
When I took this, I thought it was an adult, but on downloading it turned out to be a 'nearly' adult. Still with the black bill and some brownish feathers.
It was quite distant, so a big crop.
