As more land has been cleared on Norfolk Island a few raptors have started to appear.

It was called 'Nankeen Kestrel' then the know-all's changed it to Australian Kestrel. Now it seems it is a Nankeen Kestrel again.

This female Nankeen Kestrel was hunting over the grasslands and returned a couple of times to a nearby tree; she usually perches on the lamp-posts!

This guy was hovering at little more than head height at the roadside and was so focussed on the ground that he let me park opposite. Then he dived but emerged with nothing!
