    Out at Cape Kidnappers today where my friend Kay was feeding the caged Kaka. These birds we are hoping to breed out there and to act as anchor birds to keep the young Kaka in the area once they are released.

    Very inquisitive birds, hop around the forest floor with an upright stance, somewhat like the European Robin. One of NZ's uncommon endemics.
