This female is one of our winter residents. Isn't she pretty.

I'll bet everyone here knows this is a male.

This must be a first year bird since the bill has not turned to red-orange.

One more shot of backyard male Cardinal. Finally was able to get him on a branch. Laste afternoon /evening light.

The male of a pair that come to the backyard a couple times every day. He is quite wary and only comes early in am or in the evening so there is never really good light when he is around.
