I am aware of a storm today brewing. I hope the good Lord will be watching Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and its residents KC and Robert. I heard it is hitting there worse in South Carolina.

This was taken in a patch of land where the ranch owners had uprooted a number of small trees. Quite a few birds were searching for tidbits in the soft dirt. This Northern mockingbird had some luck.

"A medium-sized songbird, a bit more slender than a thrush and with a longer tail. Mockingbirds have small heads, a long, thin bill with a hint of a downward curve, and long legs. Their wings are short, rounded, and broad, making the tail seem particularly long in flight."

A wonderful bird to have around unless your sleeping late that morning.
