Many of my best images seem to happen when I'm in parks or wildlife refuges specifically looking for a rarity reported. I never find the rarity, but meanwhile, another bird poses nicely, as this mockingbird did.

A nesting pair has been coming back for years. Normally nest in my big maple but not sure where they are this year.
