Northern Shoveler (Spatula clypeata) Female.

I love this duck. I encounter him often in the ponds at the park close to my house. He is named perfectly, as he has a shovel like beak.

Again, far from the greatest photo from a technical viewpoint, but I like the capture, with Mrs at the front and Mr almost in perfect synchronisation out of focus in the background.

Zoomed, cropped and in low light, but posted as it shows how big (fat) these ducks are, which isn't always easy to appreciate when they are in the water.

No, this is not copy & paste in Photoshop ;-)
