A day in the Hills to-day after Ring Ouzel I was waiting in a ditch for the Ring Ouzel when this Wheatear kept coming into the ditch within a few feet of me far to close to get a shot until he landed on a nearby post

This was a real 15 round contest between these Male Wheatears fought for a Territory it was on a steep hill the birds locked claws and Beaks and tumbled down the hill to a flat area below I watched this fight for a Hour before there was a winner

I had a great display from two male Wheatears fighting for a patch to-day they took no notice of me just went at it 16ft from me this was the victor

There should be a few of these about by the end of the month. Cant wait, they are such great subjects, and characters.
