Hi everybody. I am back for a short time with just a few new photos. I am offering birding short stays for one or two persons here with me in the south of France, if anyone is interested you can mail me. Loads of Hawfinches in my garden to wet ones appetite.
I have been trying to capture a photo of a Nuthatch in flight taking one of the nuts from the feeder. They are very fast. This is my best so far but will try again tomorrow with more speed.
Do you realize the cost involved in getting such good bird models and ones that can really pose, this one certainly knows the business and how to charge. Ten walnuts, six hazelnuts and a large portion of seed daily. lol.
My last shot of 2015. taken at the end of December "when the sun did come out for ten minutes", of one of my favourite birds.
Happy New Year everyone
Andy.
The Woodpeckers are not the only ones that like the Walnuts that I put out. This Nuthatch had been making fleeting visits and dodging the gauntlet of the Woodpeckers. His persistence paid off big time with the size of the nut. Well done nutty.
well my friends heres a pic from the feeding station at leighton moss, quitw tricky trying to get an image with the birds not on the feeders, think i got lucky with this nutty, hope you like, john.
