watched these guys for a while yesterday and saw their breeding ritual more or less a little dance then thank you kindly and a bit of strutting their stuff.was great to watch though.these guys are quite scarce in my parts but the other local i visit has 10 pairs which is great and only 10mins...

well decided since i could not get to musselburgh today to go down my other local and glad i did.lots of these beauties down there just now and so great to see them doing well here.

Well Peeps, I had a trip out to the New Forest yesterday with BF's "So Pete". We see some nice birds, but the weather was really dire. Dark & wet just the opposite of what it is here this morning.

How pretty are these wings on this little nuthatch? His wing span surprised me for being such a little guy!

These birds are so fast, I can't believe I actually caught it in flight! I love to watch them at my bird feeders!

It's unusual for me to find a nuthatch sitting on a branch rather that hanging on the side of a tree. And, I was lucky enough for him to actually stay there a while...long enough to get a couple of shots of him resting!
