It's taken me a couple of months to get a shot of this one. No sooner get focused and he flies off!!

Another photo. Can't help it, along with chickadees, this is among my most favorite birds, so I have to post it. I think he's safety checking my step ladder for me. lol

He was watching me as I was watching him.

A white breasted nuthatch, carefully considering its landing spot before it makes the next move toward the feeder.

This little bird has been very hard for me to catch this year.

I love this upside-down bird--I know I'd fall climbing down a tree head first. This one seems to be enjoying himself.

In fine colour.

We all love to photo birds but for me the best is to get as close as possible without being seen. To see birds up close in their natural surroundings is the excitement. If you can see your own reflection in their eye that's close.

Regular visitors to my garden.

Still a localised bird here in Scotland, but slowly working its way up north, So lucky to have a few breading pairs near me
