Now that my son found the focus menu and got me set up in pinpoint mode, I'm quite happy with most aspects of the new camera. It focuses fast. The manual focus is with a focus ring, not a wacky button. And in pinpoint mode you get a magnification field when you push the shutter button half way...

Well Peeps, We've just said our goodbyes to my daughter & youngest granddaughter, I'm going to miss them. We've had a great 4 weeks here, mainly sitting out in the yard drinking beer and taking pics along the way. Today we travel south to North Carolina with my son & next youngest...

This was taken 7/13/16. The young ( there are two, you can just make out the second young Osprey lying down on the left hand side of the nest), are near to fledging. I estimate that they will be out of then nest in 7 to 10 days. Note that the young bird has white tips to all of it's feathers...

.... or Photo Bomber I didn't see this until I looked through the images on download. Of course I was taking a picture of the Osprey flying high above the loch. Martins and swallows had just arrived and wasn't sure if this was a House or Sand Martin, so asked in the ID forum if it was possible...
