I heart there was a Little Owl in a field somewhere, and to find a bird like this, it will take a long time, but on the other hand, if you find them once, it is easer to find them for the second time.

This is that World Famous bird at the afssal picnic spot in the Kruger NP. Their was a sign giving info on this cracking owl that has apparantly been resident there for over a decade, and after searching relentlessly for the bird, I shamefully asked one off the Afssal staff for it's where abouts...
I was able to "call" this guy into a tree right behind the inn that we were staying at on Amami. Very easy to see on Amami, more so than on Okinawa.
The juvenile looks like a fluffy stuffed toy. Unbelievably cute!!! The flying fox colony on the other hand has all but disapeared due to human intervention! A
