Mr Knight spotted this bird a few months ago..it goes elsewhere every second day..but it seems to always return to the very same spot! A

Watching the watcher this is today's shot of our resident Tawny Frogmouth! A

It seems to have carved out a territory, just off the path on the way to the dam!!! This time, instead of closing it's eyes and pretending not to be there, it looked us over! {I'm also sure that it believes itself to be invisible!} Same tree, different day!!! A

This is my first pic of our smallest Owl! Spotted by Nerida of the HerveyBay birdwatchers whilst we counted species at the wetland threatened by Main Roads!! 30 species were spotted in one hour!! A

Those two were in a grove of tall trees near a lake. They were close and in view of each other but in different trees. Quite possibly they formed a breeding pair. One is a gray phase individual and the other is the rarer red phase.
