I was birding along the park and saw the Pacific Swallow in a very nice pose that seemed to be asking me to capture it. It was actually a full body shot,but i wanted to try a cropped version of this small bird to show more details of the face expressions with its mouth opened and the head...
Its a difficult subject this month, only for the fact that we all know there are going to be some terrific images entering this months comp.

This is the closest that I have ever gotten so far on wildlife. The swallow seems human-friendly, however it flied away when I was closer than 1.5m in a few attempts. Nevertheless, this distance is good enough for me.
