A beautiful yellow fronted Amazon parrot that I spotted eating seeds in a tree in Cali Colombia. I watched him for a long time until he flew away. I love parrots!

Parrots, mainas & doves are the bane of farmers as they descend enmasse on crops & destroy them. Here, a pair of male & female parrots are enjoying a sumptuous supper of fresh sorghum corns. But parrots are my favorite birds & pity them when they are shoed away by farmers. Lol!

As the dusk settled in, this pair of parrots took off one after the other from their perch near golf course in South Mumbai.

Please help with this I.D. I took this shot last month at Hun Nal Ye in the Verapaces region of Guatemala. I am at a loss. No red wing patch, red bills and lots of purple in wings.... I find nothing like this in any guide I have for any region. Any thoughts??? Thanks, Jeff
