    They really have taken to the sugar water. I still cannot believe the success!!

    I am missing these bird at my new address. I have not seen or heard them here so far. I will try and attract them when I get permission to erect a sugar water feeder.

    Glad to see three Tui chicks in my garden this year. This photograph really shows their sharp little claws off well. They are hell to mist net because of those claws.

    They do love the sugar water, but having a great difficulty keeping the House Sparrow off. I even have one HS female pulling the Tui tail to get at the sugar water.

    To be able to sit in my favourite lounge chair watching TV and to be able photograph the Tuis feeding on the sugar water is heaven!! No effort required.

    This Tui has covered its face with pollen from the flax flowers.

    It that time of the year here in NZ with the Tuis feeding on the flax flowers. The flowers often make it easy to photograph them.

    Like Vicki, the Tuis give me great entertainment on my veranda feeding on sugar water and chasing each other. While I am sitting down watching TV.

    Many Tuis are coming to my sugar water and are busy chasing each other because of the breeding season.

    These birds seem to be learning about the introduced predators. It is really pleasing to see them weary of even humans.

    One of these juveniles looks much larger than the other one. They are becoming very keen on my sugar water.

    This bird is really calling out the Tui below it. They have real attitudes towards each other on my sugar water. It is great watching these bird outside my window. Better than TV!

    I just have to put another Tui up again. They are just moving across to the red flax flowers.

    The Tuis are really into the flaxes at this time of the year, so one has to cash in on them.

    I would like to know what it had to say. This bird is also agreat mimmic, make sounds like an old car horn. Tuis are well known for copying all kinds of noises. The Maori use to keeping them as pets and teaching them to talk.

    Its that time of the year again, where Tui are able to feed on flax flowers and covering their faces in pollen.
