    AAP The south loch at Morton Nature Reserve has some handily placed feeders, which attract a variety of birds. This picture was digiscoped from the hide, there's now more feeding stations around the reserve.

    When I came through this morning, something had been having a bath judging by the amount of water on the window. So I dried it off and waited... and waited. Various birds came in to feed, but until after 10am there's not enough light for a photo. I was standing at the window when a Dunnock...

    yay we had a little sun today, so had a coffee break with the camera and moved my feeder n perch into the sun and then had these 4 birds all perch and feed in a 30 min slot, sometimes more than one at a time, the coal tit would only come when it was clear, the LTT's would come and the resident...

    "cole tit" is not an incorrect spelling and indeed the spelling was used in older bird books. I do not know what brought about the change...yet. EDIT: Yes, but no use in promulgating an obviously mistaken past spelling - so, Coal Tit.
