Shame it wasn't looking the other way but pleased I managed one mid drum, full frame image, it was difficult to ensure it all fitted in the frame hence no feet......
I spent a day at the Newport wetlands site and the RSPB site. This is the only bird I got any decent photographs of. It was in the car park, as I was leaving.
I have been out today and thought i would share the merits of the 70-200 F4 IS. Here is a shot taken at 200mm straight from the camera with no prosessing just resized.
I just managed to get this one decent shot, but you would'nt believe the shots that were missed coz of the 50Ds bloody focusing which would have been so much better as the cock was taking to the air. Damn camera DOH!
Over the last ten days or so we have had a male and female (sometimes two) pheasant visit our garden. They lie in a relatively soft part, near to conifers and wriggle around and in doing so throw earth/dust over themselves. This can last for up to 30 minutes or so.
