Got an ID for this little beauty by its song. As you can see its singing it's little heart out. Managed to get close-ish and it was happy to hang about for a bit.

On my way home today I heard this little willow warbler somewhere in the foliage of a neighbor's overgrown garden. Got my camera out and tried to spot him. He led me on quite the wild warbler chase, even just standing still and turning this way and that. No sooner would I get him in the frame...

Here's another one of yesterday's reward for patience. Technically not such a good shot - there's a branch casting a shadow across his head, and he's not sharp enough in focus for me to crop my way in closer. But I love the pose: He's really leaning into his warble, getting downright operatic.
