Its the last day of our Danish holiday today. We will be heading back to Billund Airport about 3-30 am tomorrow morning, ready for our flight into Stansted Airport about 6-30. We have had a great time, and seen some nice birds...Six species of raptors including...

Its an early post and run from me today, as we are getting a ride back to Hastings this morning with a couple of friends from Lakenheath. They will be staying with us for the Seafood & Wine Festival over the weekend. When they leave, Hazel and I will be heading...
Bussed it to Rye Harbour yesterday, not a whole lot about, as it was so windy out in the open. Not much to see from the hides either, but managed to bag a few shots.

This stop was in the wee car park at Aberlemno near Brechin.
Barn swallow and Pied wagtail, each using the same puddle for different purposes, though in similar poses. Swallow was gathering mud and wagtail was bathing. Lots of fun to watch |=)| but impossible to focus on both at once :S
The hospital park pond, as I mentioned before, is small but designed to consist of multiple biotopes. This wagtail was darting and swooping from boulder to boulder over the marshy and deeper bits, I'm guessing snapping mosquitoes or mayflies as they hatched ...?
