Crowned Lapwing Plover, Vanellus coronatus, Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, East Africa. Crowned Lapwings prefer short dry grassland which may be overgrazed or burnt. They nest on the ground.
Adult assuming breeding plummage. Classified as a common winter visitor/passage migrant to Singapore. However, its occurence in Singapore is getting rarer.

today I want to show you this photo of a semipalmated plover.
I found this bird at the coast of california near Los Angeles and waited for the best moment, when the light goes down. This photo was taken some minutes before sunset.
