plumed whistling-duck

Have to shoot off to a Sports Presentation night at my Grandson's School so a quick post and run .

Hundreds of these at Lake Galletly yesterday afternoon.

The next in the sequence of this Plumed whistling -Duck making a landing amongst the Duckweed.

Over a hundred of these together with around a dozen ducklings today.This one is just landing into the green algae which covers the small lake .

As this was a private property, I could not improve the angle of this shot, nor move any closer. Plumed Whistling-duck, one of 14 in a domestic garden (I happened to be driving past & noticed them).

while we were photographing 3 Wandering Whistling Ducks , 4 Plumed flew into the small pond by the road. They never felt comfortable with us there and this photo shows them just after they arrived. we left soon after.
