A seldom visitor and I saw yellow movement amongst the Pines so waited and then it popped its head out ;)

So I'm back in the unedited folder looking for the original, and right next to the original I find this image. Same bird, and obviously Prairie Warbler. Yes, it was a lifer, and no I don't carry my field guide with me in the field (no room in the backpack), so I know why it took me so long to ID...

Haven't seen one of these guys for a few years but it was my 110th yard bird back then

This warbler is a full time resident in SW Florida.

A Prairie Warbler emerged from the bushes for a few seconds during the Fall migration at Peace Valley Park, Bucks County, Pennsylvania' U.S.A.

This warbler popped up quite often this past winter in Florida.

This was the latest in the winter that I've seen this species, and taken at Eagle Lakes Park, south of Naples.

This guy showed itself to me more often last winter than it had in the past. The bird is one of those tail pumpers which can aid you in identification.

I came across this warbler more often than usual last winter, so you may see it again.

This warbler popped up more often than in past winters.

This is a male with those bold stripes going down its side.

I uploaded one of these a little while back but they're such pretty birds I could'nt resist.

As you can see there are still some American Hemlocks alive. The wooly adelgid has wipped out most, at least on the east coast.

Captured on the island of Bermuda;going over some old pics and found this one which literally stood out from the rest !

I was able to catch this Prairie Warbler just as he nipped a fly off of the Milkweed flower. Made my day...many of his other feathered friends weren't quite so cooperative.

The Warblers, Sparrows and Catbirds were all trying to out-do each other in a singing contest today...the overcast sky gave a much better lighting effect today than the previous day's bright sun! This Prairie Warbler was proud to be singing happily from his perch!
