    A one off

Still out of the car after photographing the woodswallow, I spotted this Mulga Parrot. The only one I saw on my trip. Rather pretty parrots these I think, even though he was keeping very much in the shade due to the extreme heat that day.

    In the right habitat

My book says these parrots like dry arid country! Well it couldn't have been much drier (nor hotter) when I was there (it was up to about 41c when I was there and there'd been no rain for a long time! Guess Mulga Parrots have adapted well to the conditions. Another Lifer of course.
