    The Bald Parrot (Pyrilia aurantiocephala) is a newly discovered parrot species in Brazil, in 2002. Given that there is no current illustration of this bird on wikipedia I decided to paint this one.

    It is spring. the Flame of the forest (Butea monosperma) is in bloom. A Rose ringed parakeet having Breakfast and providing a "palette du paradis"!
