An old file from Skomer in May 2008. Staying on the Island for 3 nights allowed for some very quite time with the Puffins as their were only 8 photographers on the whole Island once the boat left!

Another old file from my first Farnes trip. I will get back their this year as its a cracking place

No.. this bird hasn't got a big silver moustache, tis just your typical 'Puffin with eels' kind of a shot :) Though these look quite large & a bit of a mouthful!!! Weather was a bit mixed on my visit this time, so didn't get too many pics that were much better than taken previously, but...

Puffins have only recently returned after the eradication of rats from the island. There are now over 100 breeding pairs.

I am posting a series of photo's taken on a recent trip to Iceland, this is the first. A puffin without sand eels!!!!

Just as I was about to head back to the car, this one hurtled in from the sea and landed on this cliff face, to dry off.

Just peeking out from the cliffs to see what was going on above.

The first one I have ever seen in the wild. I've not stopped grinning since. Such characters!

A shot taken a few weeks ago at Skomer Island. Fabulous little birds and you get really close to them. The day I went though it was brilliant sunshine and I found the exposure difficult to handle on primarily black & white birds.
