Most of the flying puffins were returning from a fishing trip catching sand eels

Enjoyed my first trip to the Farnes to see these wonderful birds, more to come. Adrian

Taken on a day out to the Farne Islands with Jamie (Scottishdude)and his Lovely Wife and of course my Lovely wife. The weather and the birds were kind to us, A great day had by all!!!!!!!!!!

taken on Lunga, Treshnish Isles, where the Puffins are amazingly unconcerned by humans. I had to back off to get this bird in focus.

A pr of Puffins were exploring nest site only to be very startled when this Razorbill appeared and indicated that this burrow was already inhabited, lol

I was lucky enough to be the only one to get a shot on the day of this little Auk in a burrow looking out on the world.

Returning from a successful fishing trip this puffin was forced down by black headed gulls and found sanctuary in another bird's burrow. It made repeated attempts to get airborne and return to base but was forced back down the hole again and again. Eventually it sneaked out and went on its way.

Whilst a great spectacle, going to Bempton is definitely a place to improve BIF techniques

a super day at Bempton Cliffs yesterday, too many shots and it'll take me weeks to go through them, anyhow pleased with getting my first shot of a Puffin
