This fellow came right in to try and grab my chocolate chip muffin near Mrs Macquarie's Seat in Sydney...but he picked on the wrong guy as far as hanging on to a muffin is concerned! I've got the camcorder in one hand and the muffin pulled back in the other!
This should brighten up everyone's day. Just for a change I decided to sit outside my kitchen window and see what reaction I would get from my local set :-) LOL
It took the Lorikeets two seconds to come in to the feeders, my Hybrid was next along with the Cockatoos, Little Corellas, L/B...
In fact quite the opposite and it was very hot!
Rainbow Lorikeets look pretty at any time don't you think, but I thought these were stunning in the light up on that tree.
... this is my hole!!!
The Rainbow Lorikeet seems to have taken ownership of that broken snag and was warning me that I wasn't going to get a look in!!
My Saturday Fun effort for today.
.... and no, I'd not been drinking... I did have the camera level. They put the feed out on an old farm trailer!
I managed to catch a Spotted Dove, a couple of Rainbow Lorikeets and the male Red-winged Parrot, who'd decided he was hungry after all.
The rain had been threatening for a couple of hours and at last it arrived.
Even so, I couldn't resist taking a picture of these two Rainbow Lorikeets on top of a bush.
You can just see some rain falling if you look hard enough.
A friend from Ken's garden had seemingly come with us (actually there were lots of them LOL).
Rainbow Lorikeets I discovered were pretty commonly seen throughout Queensland.
You have to love these colourful guys, don't you.
Actually I've not counted the colours on the Rainbow Lorikeet. Actually I believe there's moves to split these into 6 different species!
They're pretty whatever their name turns out to be LOL
... there have to be parrots in my first uploads, don't there LOL.
Another regular visitor to Ken's garden were these rather pretty Rainbow Lorikeets.
It was great watching their antics.
This is one of the Rainbow Lorikeets that was waiting for the 'Hybrid Cockatoo' to leave the other day. The Lorikeets keep me amused whilst I'm stuck at home, only another two to four weeks to go.!!!!!!
Do hope you like the expression!
