After getting a few still shots of this American Bald Eagle and waiting over an hour for it to leave its perch, I gave up and moved on to another area of interest. After I got about a quarter mile away I turned to see if it was still there and just then it took off and flew directly toward me...

One of my more funny captures. This Crested Caracara was preening and seems to have taken interest in one of its feathers!

One of the places I frequently hold wildlife photography workshops at here in Florida is home to a good number of Crested Caracara. One of my favorite birds to photograph and it seems to like the attention as well!

I wasn't able to capture the actual kill this Crested Caracara made of a Cattle Egret but was fortunate enough to get some great shots of it eating and flying away with some left-overs for its family!

Not very common in the Mangroves of Tarcoles but has been seen in the road to our boat jetty. Along the patches of forest near the Tarcoles River.

As we drove into Sigri, following a rain storm, we found 5 of these, each one resting on a telegraph pole.
