Many people believe owls are strictly nocturnal. But this beautiful Barred Owl was actively hunting yesterday morning at 9:00 AM and was kind enough to allow me a few good shots before it decided to fly off.

One of the places I frequently hold wildlife photography workshops at here in Florida is home to a good number of Crested Caracara. One of my favorite birds to photograph and it seems to like the attention as well!
I wasn't able to capture the actual kill this Crested Caracara made of a Cattle Egret but was fortunate enough to get some great shots of it eating and flying away with some left-overs for its family!
