raven corvus corax

This year we had Ravens nesting in the little churchyard across the road for the first time that I'm aware of, though I've seen Ravens there before.There were 3 fledglings.

Had a wonderful holiday in Skne. Great weather, great birds and a few good pictures too. This is the first of the pictures.

A couple of Ravens were flying around the neighbourhood, calling loudly. Didn't notice till I looked at the pictures in the computer that one of them was flying upside-down.

2 of 2 Had a marvellous time on Landsort despite some thick fog at times. Saw a lot of birds, including some unusual ones, and took a lot of photographs and now I'm going to take it easy for a couple of days - maybe. :-)

I was failing miserably to get decent Red Kite pictures when a couple of Ravens flew past very close.

Off to Scotland tomorrow but I'll post many more pictures from California when I get back. I've never taken so many pictures in such a short period - in spite of the fact that it was a work trip. Most of the pictures were taken in the early morning or late afternoon/evening.

something disgusting I suspect. :-) My wife refuses to look at these any more but they are still the best Raven pictures I've taken up until now.
