We were at Lake Tkern last weekend. The weather forecast was dreadful but we had some luck and I took an awful lot of pictures.
This one's from the far south of Sweden at Easter though.
Sunshine and snow at last. Took some pictures from the windows today and we're off on a trip tomorrow.

The furthest north we've ever seen a Red Kite was from the car on the way home from our holiday in Vrmland this summer. Lake Tkern is a bit further south and I've seen one there before. But this time there were three of them. They're spreading northwards and not all that slowly. A success story...
During our visit to Skne in the south of Sweden at Easter we went to Flyinge to photograph White Storks. I'll be posting some of my stork photos later but while we were there a sub-adult White-tailed Eagle flew overhead and there were also quite a few Red Kites around.

When we were trying to photograph the Bitterns a man who was observing dragonflies came along. He was astonished and very skeptical when we said that we had seen Bitterns in flight several times. That just didn't happen he implied. After about 10 minutes a Bittern...
Yesterday was a good day, sun compensated for the freezing temperature and NE wind. I spotted 8 species of raptors including Peregrine Falcon(!) as well as the first Cranesfor the season.
