Activity was high with a meadow being mowed, leaving frightened and tasty moles and voles exposed to hungry Red Kites.
Digiscoped using Olympus E620 through a Skywatcher ED80 600mm refractor telescope with support from a Lensmaster gimbal head.
Hi Peeps,
We got back from our travels to Gods Country yesterday, so we're grounded for about 10 days now. I really hope I get out to get some new pics soon, I hate having to post OLD pics, but its 3 more from the archives for ya today, LOL.
Since returning from France I've not done a lot of birding/photography due to a number of reasons. However, yesterday I had another look through the files from last year's trip to Gigrin and came across quite a few that haven't yet seen the light of day. Here's one of them.
Well Peeps,
Its post and run from me this morning...I'm gonna bus it to Rye Harbour, and see whats around? Hope the weather stays good for you, see y'all later.
The look on the Buzzards face says it all, and to be fair to the Buzzard it didn't flinch as the Kite had a good go at moving it from its meal, next frame the Buzzard is still there and the kite had moved on
I had a great day a few weeks back with Rod and Paul where I've never filled so many memory cards before with Pied Flys, Redstarts and these beautiful birds too......I hope you all enjoy the jubilee weekend.
