In summer a squirrel started to build a nest in a tree right in front of the window. I didn't see it very often, but two weeks ago it suddenly appeared with 4 youngsters, discovering a new world.

after searching all day i finally managed a red squirrel.I was surprised to see it had a white tail,not sure why,but it was the only one i seen all day

My first venture into the Wild Animal section .

You know the snow is deep and the temperature is cold when small critters are peering in your window! Not the best image, as the sun was just starting to emerge, and I was hurried to not miss the shot.

I had the opportunity to visit Formby this week & hoped to see some of the famous colony of red squirrels. After an hour or so I hadn't seen a thing & began to fear that the dreaded squirrel pox had taken its toll. Then I heard a rustling in the tree tops & saw two reds scampering...

It's autumn and it's wonderful to be outdoors. The Red Squirrel will see me a lot this autumn and winter iso 400 1/50 sec. F4 Edwin Kats

My favourite little animal

So happy to have taken this shot.I have only seen a Red Squirrel fleetingly a couple of times,but today in the grounds of Muncaster Castle ,this little chap was climbing around in the trees.Had to do lots of editing,but managed a reasonble pic.
