I have heard of someone supposing that a Snowy Owl was in this location. Having realized last month that it was a leucistic Red-tail, today I got close enough for a photo.
Exactly why this Red-tail was fighting with a broken branch I have no idea. But I watched this comical battle for about 3 minutes. Then he just settled down beside it. Quite strange.
