Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) Leucistic. Harsh lighting from the left but you take what you can, when you can. Probably the same individual that I photographed in the same area and posted November 2018. It is nice to see it return.
Krider's Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis kriderii) Juvenile. Once again, my gratitude is given to Ceasar (Bob) of birdforum our Red-tailed Hawk expert for providing the subspecies.
Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis harlani) Melanistic bird with signs of some leucism. Caesar of birdforum believes this to be Harlan's Red-tailed Hawk, subspecies harlani. I appreciate his expertise and have added this subspecies name.
