Lakescape - 665-A
The Lapwing came
from behind ...
... and stood
there momentarily ...
... almost
cueing me to
record that lovely
late winter
afternoon moment
of togetherness ...

They take off & create such a ruckus as soon as they see any two-legged animals in the vicinity, raising an alarm for the other birds!! Real spoil sports!! Not the greatest of shots but satisfied to get this as they are quite swift.
Red-wattled Lapwing (Vanellus indicus), quite common in the Indian subcontinent, and also present in southeast Asia. As all photographers know, it's better to keep the same eye-level to the subject for more appealing results.
Birds seem to be getting scarcer around here as the weather is becoming hotter and more humid. I guess the migratory birds have left for their homeland. However, here is a local plover I clicked at a nearby lake.
