With the sweltering summer heat in full force & no source of water near by, the water feeder must bring some relief to their parched throats. Here, a red-whiskered bulbul looks to quench its thirst.
Back from our trip to New South Wales. Not really good for birding - lots of rain, but did score one newbie (twice), the Red-whiskered Bulbul, an introduced species into Oz, but a sweet bird to find.
This Red-whiskered Bulbul was part of a small flock that were busy chasing each other, even in the heat. This one just stayed long enough for me to take his picture!
