    Well Peeps, Its post and run from me this fine sunny morning...We will be making our way back home to Hastings later this morning. Its gonna be a long hot journey on four different trains, so lets hope theres no train rage. I guess we will both need a nice cold pint when we get back, so see...

    Posting this as I wondering how unusual this behaviour is for a redshank. Other birdwatchers have seen this redshank perching on shrubs several times in the past week or so. It will perch for extended periods then do a circuit or two whilecalling. Is he/she keeping watch over juvs for predators ?

    Well Peeps, I bussed it to Rye Harbour yesterday...I spent about five and a half hours out in the field. The weather was quite nice, albeit really windy, but it was great to be out in the elements.
