A trip to Carsington yesterday was very disappointing except for this Reed Bunting, which is a First for me. I thought at a glance that it was a sparrow, but was delighted when it was not.
Unusually, it was the females that sought the patches of sunlight while the males stayed in the undergrowth.
Apologies for the criss-crossing foliage in the foreground but I don't think it detracts too much from the pose and perkiness of this lady bunting.

Not a lot going on in the garden here in Devon, and the weathers not been that great. I didn't even set me rig up yesterday, as the light was abysmal. Lets hope for a bit of sunshine soon, and y'all have a great weekend.
