    I think this shot shows how well these beach-feeders are camouflaged, when looking down on them. Just as well when there's a peregrine in the area...

    It was a superb sunny Sunday morning so a quick trip to Elmley RSPB was on the cards. As we drove slowly along the roadway to the RSPB offices, we spotted this little Ringed Plover happily sitting near the roadside.

    I love getting these close near the samphire. When laying still they can come really close.

    As I've said, not much about at Rye harbour yesterday, but there were a few Ringed Plovers busy feeding along the entrance to the harbour. It was quite difficult to get close enough to them for a decent shot, but I did get a couple of not so good shots, this being one of them.
