Blackbird

I see lots of Blackbirds along the river, but usually messing about in the leaf litter where it's too dark to get a picture. This one sat up quite nice on a branch more-or-less at my head height with the river as a background.

Red Squirrel

Just occasionally I get a glimpse of a Red Squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris)when I'm walking the river, this one had the decency to stop for a second; the following three attempts produced nothing but branches and twigs - they don't half move fast, don't they!

A Breton river

This is a shot of the river Blavet ,just a few kilometres away from where it opens out into the sea at Lorient.There is a wide tow-path on one side and this place is popular with local people who choose to come here for their Sunday afternoon stroll.
